How to prevent bone mass deficiency

One should maintain bone mass as long as possible. A healthy lifestyle including a balanced diet and exercise combined with a good supplementation will help stop calcium loss.

Dairy products are an excellent source of calcium, easily absorbed by the body, however it can be difficult to reach daily recommended allowances of calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K through nutrition alone. Therefore good supplementation is critical.

The first step for absorbing calcium is its disintegration and dissolution in the stomach and later the release of active substances through the intestine.  Studies have shown that the fractioning of supplementation during the day results in better calcium absorption.  Dosages over 500mg of calcium can diminish the efficiency of the absorption.*
